Successfully Navigating the Energies from the 10/20 Full Moon to the 11/19 Full Moon Eclipse: It's All About Trust!

Happy full moon in Aries!  The October 20th Aries full moon is the last full moon we will have before the November 19th full moon eclipse in Taurus that will open the two week long eclipse portal of big changes.  

This full moon is also leading us into Scorpio season, as the sun enters Scorpio late on Friday, October 22nd.  Sun in Scorpio this year will find itself in the cross hairs of the Saturn-Uranus square, illuminating Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus respectively, but think of it this way ~ this time around, it is helping us find a solution to whatever issue arose between past and present, tradition and innovation, back on February 17th.  We revisited this on June 14th, and during Leo season July/August.  Now we are in the home stretch, as resolution to this issue is coming on December 24th.  

We can look at the coming month (from the October 20th full moon until the November 19th full moon eclipse) as a time of growth and transformation.  

What the cards are saying is, it's all about trust.

The Success Spread

This is the short and sweet spread I used for this reading, asking specifically what was needed for success for the coming month, from this August 22nd full moon at 29 degrees Aquarius to the coming full moon on September 20th at 28 degrees Pisces.  (The deck is Shadowscapes.)

What the Cards Are Saying About the Coming Month:

​Overview:  It's all about trust this month.  When you feel tired, rest ~ don't quit.  First of all, give yourself a breather.  Take a big break.  Step away from it all for a few moments to reclaim your peace and regenerate.  If we burn ourselves out, then nothing good happens.  You have permission, actually a prescription, to withdraw from the world for a day or two and restore yourself.  First things first.  If it feels like "the end," remember this:  the darkest hour is just before the dawn.  And know this:  the dawn is imminent.  Allow yourself to be carried through this transition.  Trust that new beginnings are upon us ~ be ready to take a leap of faith.  Open to the possibilities, and then open again.  Let your intuition guide you.  Let your heart be your guide.  You are on the path.  Keep doing what you are doing.  Keep showing up.  Stay the course, tend the details, stick to the routine.  Keep going.  You are almost there.

Card 1:  4 of Swords, reversed.  

​Card number one represents the situation at hand--the major concern in question.  When the 4 of Swords shows up upright, it tells us that it isn't time to take action ~ it is instead time to meditate and rest.  Note how she still holds the fourth sword at the ready while resting in the image.  When it is reversed, it doesn't necessarily mean it is time to take action--if that were the case, it would be signified by a different card.  Instead, the meaning here is that we have perhaps the waiting is resulting in energetic stagnation and feeling blocked, repressed, and frustrated.  As we are just coming out of three big planetary retrogrades that have been on since late spring, and especially Saturn retrograde, this makes total sense.  It is like we are reaching a point of burn-out with the waiting patiently.  However, this card is not telling us to remedy that by rushing forth.  It cues us to take a break; like really take a time-out from the whole damn thing and actually allow ourselves some real rest.

​Card 2:  10 of Swords. 

​The second card shines a light on the current challenges in this situation.  The 10 of Swords is the classic "the darkest hour is just before the dawn" card.  While it can represent a betrayal and/or fall from grace, and the mental anguish that accompanies that, what this card also, and maybe more importantly in this case, signifies, is the "coming of the dawn."  Whatever has us down now that seems like the end, is in fact, not.  We are about to see the horizon light up again, but we have to let go in this moment and allow the change to take place.  What we resist persists.  Acceptance and allowance carries us through with grace and ease, into a bright new dawn.

​Card 3:  The Fool.

​Card number three illuminates hidden factors.  This card points to what is affecting the situation beneath the surface of which we are not yet aware.  The Fool is card zero in the Major Arcana, the egg that symbolizes all possibility.  It represents new beginnings and leaps of faith.  This is your green light.  The time is now.  Trust life and make your move.  Take the leap.  What's hidden behind the scenes here is that we are being supported in taking a big leap of faith into the unknown.

​The fourth card in the spread shows us "allies," ~ where help is coming from.  For this month, until the full moon eclipse on November 19th, let your intuition be your trusty guide.  Follow your heart.  Stay tuned in to the wisdom of the body and emotions (our emotions are divine messengers).  Keep the channel clear by staying grounded and keeping an open heart.  Be a clear vessel, stay connected to source and support (heavens and earth) and the messages won't get muddied.  

​Card 5:  Knight of Pentacles.
​
The fifth and final card tells us what we need to do over these coming weeks to be successful.  The Knight of Pentacles tells us to keep going!  It also speaks to keeping up with "the grind" and the mundane responsibilities, and showing up with diligence and consistency.  Our efforts are going to pay off if we keep at it.  If you have been wondering if you are going in the right direction, feeling that you aren't getting results, or wondering if you need to change something, don't!  This card says keep doing what you are doing.  What is required now is consistent effort and sticking to the plan and routine.  This will get results.  It is happening, even if we cannot yet see any signs of it.
