People-pleasing, indecisiveness, over-explaining, poor boundaries, endless questioning, self-doubt, unexplained anger, anxiety, or depression...all of these point to the same root issue: the relationship between self and other in your life is out of balance. This is important, because one of the main energetic signatures over 2024 - the focus of our eclipses - will be around bringing karmic rebalancing to our relationships. This means that wherever your relationship with anything outside of you is out of balance, events will be occurring to bring that into balance over the coming year, especially with the spring and fall eclipses. Aries & Libra ~ The Relationship Axis of the Zodiac In astrology, the signs Aries and Libra sitting opposite each other make up the relationship axis of the zodiac. Aries is the sign of the self, while Libra is the sign of other and relationships. Right now, since mid-July 2023, and all the way until January 2025, there's a special focus on this axis of the zodiac and therefore all of the relationships in our lives. This is because the north and south nodes of the moon are transiting Aries and Libra, respectively. This is where our collective soul growth for 2024 lies. We are talking about your significant long-term relationships, but also all relationships. At the heart of this is your relationship to yourself, and how you relate to life as a whole and everything in it. This includes your relationship to significant others, others in general, success, power, abundance, happiness, health, and love itself. This is about how you relate. How you relate to yourself determines how you relate to everything else. As within, so without. A Karmic Rebalancing of Relationships Over 2024 If your relationships are out of balance, you might find yourself feeling it more acutely since mid-July when the north node first entered Aries. You might be finding your dissatisfaction, frustration, and resentfulness more palpable over these past few months. The first clue may have come back on April 20th when the first Aries eclipse slipped in, before the nodes even changed signs, foreshadowing what was to over the 2nd half of 2023 and all of 2024. Feeling any of the above is a clear sign that the "me" and "we" in your life is wanting to come back into balance. If you've leaned too heavily into the "other" side of relationships, you'll find yourself being more indecisive and doing more people-pleasing. You may feel stuck or trapped, frustrated or resentful, and find yourself no longer even knowing what you really want in life. This is a clear sign that you need to consciously move yourself back towards the "me" end of the relationship axis. Remember - a healthy sense of self doesn't destroy relationships - it builds stronger ones. If a relationship cannot allow you to have a healthy sense of self, it may be time to question what the foundation of that relationship truly is, that it would require you to give yourself up and play small to maintain it. The north node in Aries all of 2024 is going to be pulling you towards this healthy sense of self, self-expression, and self-assertion. As it does so, the south node in Libra will be activated, showing us the shadow sides of our relationships where unhealthy patterns and dynamics need to be cleaned up and released. The North Node in Aries Illuminates the Way Forward This is likely to bring up all manner of under-the-surface issue in 2024 as we move through this karmic rebalancing of relationships in our lives, like insecure attachment styles, low self-value, limiting beliefs around enoughness and lovability, and more. The shadow work will be in Libra, the Venus-ruled sign of relationships, and Venus, at the heart of the matter, rules how we attract our desires through alignment. Venus rules self-value first and foremost, because our the quality of our self-value - our relationship to ourself - is what determines the quality of our relationship to everything in life. The north node lights the way forward. The answer is to move into a healthier relationship with ourself. Then everything else will follow suit and fall into place. The answer is to come back home to yourself and reclaim your throne, to reconnect with yourself and come back into right alignment with you, into soul alignment, and then everything in your life will come right with that.
