Working with the Cancer Moon to Prepare for a Deep Healing Week.

The moon lands in its own sign of Cancer Saturday, April 13th at 13:44 ET and will remain there until Monday the 15th at 22:23 ET, and its helping us tune into our emotional body and the past to prepare us for a week (or two even) of deep healing beginning Monday April 15th moving us right through the 4/23 Scorpio full moon.

Don't be surprised if things get a little moody from midday Saturday through Monday evening.

This is because the moon will be strong in its own sign of Cancer, carrying us right into Monday's first quarter moon square (the halfway point between the Aries new moon eclipse and the upcoming cathartic Scorpio full moon).

First quarter moons are always times when internal conflict brings us to a "choice point," as the moon, ruler of our inner world, subconscious, and need for belonging and emotional security comes to an intersection with the sun, our ego, personality, and conscious will.

This one just happens to be coming on the heels of last Monday's major Aries new moon eclipse, just before we move into a week of major transformation and healing featuring tons of action in Aries centered around Mercury retrograde there making alignments with Chiron, Venus, and the north node as Venus moves through the Aries line up crossing paths with Mercury backtracking.

Make no mistake, whatever comes up now is coming up for healing, and your emotions are the messengers.

You have to feel it to heal it.

The coming week, the cosmos is offering you incredible support in healing those old wounds of your heart, those wounds to self that keep you holding back, stuffing down, doubting, and playing small once and for all, but at first, it might feel like all the pain is being reactivated.

Those wounds have to be stirred and brought to the surface to be healed and released.

The healing can happen when you choose to react and handle things differently when they come up this time, when you stay in the present moment, in your power, in your inherent value and worth, and don't go on the ride and get trapped in that painful past dimension.

And Cancer moons have a reputation for taking us down memory lane.

Remember that the moon and Cancer are about connection, belonging, and creating emotional security, and all of this astrology is building towards the April 23rd Scorpio full moon square Pluto - catharsis that will fully clear out what's been up since the 3/25 Libra full moon eclipse. 

This is about letting go of the past and stepping into a new energetic dimension - one where you are shining that heart light bright in full authenticity with an unshakable sense of self, value, and worth.
