Working With Saturn in May to Make Dreams Reality

In May, look to the sun, then Venus, then Mercury in Taurus sextile Saturn for help in making your dreams reality.  There's just one catch:  it is Saturn we are talking about here.  You have to show up and do the work.

The May 7th/8th new moon in Taurus was in sextile (60 degree "opportunity" aspect) to Saturn in Pisces.  This makes for an even more auspicious new beginning in Taurus for 2024, amplified by the presence of Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus all in Taurus along with the sun.

This is a good thing, because Saturn's supportive input to the Taurus new moon means we are getting help making things real in our lives.  Pisces is the sign of ideals and dreams, while Taurus is the sign of material security, enjoying life through the five senses, resources, and earthly abundance. ​

The thing is, while sextiles are supportive aspects, they are also subtle.  They hint at opportunities.  Whether we take advantage of those or they pass us by - well, that's up to us.

The other thing is, while May is smooth sailing with all supportive aspects in the heavens for the rest of the month except for the Mercury-Pluto square on May 17th, June will be a different story.

As we move into Gemini season in late May, the sun, Venus, and Jupiter all change signs from Taurus to Gemini, and that means they will all one-by-one move through an intersection - a 90° angle growth aspect - to Saturn in Pisces.  Whatever you're doing now, there will be a test - a test of faith, a test of character, a test of discipline.

Oh, and I should also mention that as each planet lands in Gemini, before we get to the mid-June Saturn squares, each will immediately make a 120° trine, or flow aspect to Pluto retrograde - each time, you'll get a power boost, with the most powerful alignment being Jupiter trine Pluto on 6/2.

The best way to handle this is to start switching your mindset (and game plan) to "satisfying Saturn" now, before we get to the mid-June bumps.  Use the supportive astrology now to create a plan moving forward that includes all of Saturn's favorite things:  commitment, practicality, long-term goal-setting and planning, action steps (like mapped out on your calendar over a certain time frame), responsibility, consistency, discipline, and effort.

Saturn was the Roman harvest god - if you tended the fields during the growing season, you were likely rewarded with a happy harvest and sustenance to see you through winter.

5/13:  Venus in Taurus sextile Saturn in Pisces
5/20:  Sun into Gemini
5/22: Sun trine Pluto RX (power/influence boost)
5/23:  Venus into Gemini
5/25:  Jupiter into Gemini; Venus trine Pluto RX (power/attraction boost)
5/27:  Mercury in Taurus sextile Saturn in Pisces
6/2:  Jupiter sextile Pluto RX (the most powerful day of 2024)
6/8:  Venus in Taurus square Saturn in Pisces
6/9:  Sun in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces
6/11:  Mars in Taurus square Pluto RX in Aquarius (watch out for this one)
6/12:  Mercury in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces
6/29:  Saturn stations retrograde

This is what you are doing over the coming weeks.  "Making hay while the sun shines."  Go ahead and make a practical action plan for making your dreams reality and start showing up for it every day NOW, even though the "pressure" is off during May, and you'll have created some protection in the form of "Saturn points" for yourself when June's tests come.  ​
