Dying to the Flames to be Reborn From the Ashes. Sound a bit dramatic? Well this is a dramatic full moon, packed with signature Scorpio deep-diving intensity and fueled by ruler Pluto, bringing emotional catharsis and release. The full moon one month ago was the "breakaway" point - the south node full moon eclipse in Libra trine Pluto in Aquarius. Today's full moon in Scorpio square Pluto is the final release and purging. It's time to LET GO. Pluto is about power, but Pluto's lessons are always, deep down, about letting go. It's the letting go that allows us to reclaim the personal power that's been tied up in holding on. Imagine it like this: all the astrology over the past few weeks has been calling you to uplevel to a new dimension, pulling you, and you feel the pull and you are moving in that direction, aligning with the emerging future you, but suddenly, its feeling painful, like you are caught between dimensions, caught between worlds. It's because the cords of the past are still attached. The cords of what was, the undigested grief of what could have been or what you thought would happen, the fear of leaving someone behind, losing them, or having them reject you, the things you still hold, the injustices and disappointments, that you feel will never be okay.
Do you see it? Do you see your "Future You" pulling you towards her to uplevel, while the cords of the past are still attached to your back, pulling tighter and tighter? This is the tension you feel. This is the discomfort, the pain. It's time to let go. Many times the initial way we feel Pluto at work in our lives is (possibly quite nasty and ruthless) power struggles and dynamics. This comes about because some deeply unconscious insecurities and survival fears have been triggered within us or another. That's when the shadows lock and we get engaged in lose-lose situations that seem to just keep getting worse. It's when we feel we are being "dragged around by our hair" emotionally, but we can't seem to disengage. It feels like we can't. Pluto's lesson is clear: "let go," and Pluto doesn't care about being nice or gentle. This is the Lord of the Underworld we are talking about here - he has no issues emerging from the underworld into your life, snatching you up, and taking you right back down into the shadowlands and leaving you to find your own way back. This is where you reclaim your power and truly learn to rule your realm. You've felt this building since Sunday, when the Taurus sun squared Pluto. This full moon occurs with that sun-Pluto square still lingering, and with the Scorpio moon having just made its own difficult aspect to Pluto. Turbulent inner emotions getting the best of you are simply part of the moon square Pluto territory, but it's also an amazing set up for emotional healing. The key is to watch the tendency for projection. No matter what comes up, realize that it's something within you. What's happening "out there" is only a reflection of what's going on - likely beneath the surface of consciousness. Keep turning back into yourself to see what's really going on, and you'll reclaim your peace and your power.
