![]() We're past the final eclipse portal of 2024, and in the transition from the set of eclipses on the Aries-Libra axis of the zodiac - the relationship axis - that began in July 2023, to what's next: a string of eclipses focused on the Virgo-Pisces axis of the zodiac that will carry us into 2027. The theme of the Aries-Libra eclipses, "a karmic rebalancing of the 'me' and 'we' in your life," is still strong as we have Mars, ruler of Aries, going retrograde (something that only happens once every two years) over this time helping us prepare for the final eclipse in this series - the new moon eclipse in Aries sign of self coming up in late March. Besides Mars retrograde this winter, we have a few other main energetic currents we want to focus our attention on and work with: Jupiter retrograde October 9th to February 4th, Saturn stationing direct in Pisces on November 15th, and Pluto, direct as of October 11th, moving back into Aquarius for good on November 19th. I break all of this down for you in this post - click "read more" to check it out! We have two major vibe shifts coming up in November as Saturn stations direct in Pisces on November 15th, and Pluto (already direct as of 10/11) returns to Aquarius for good (until 2044) on November 19th.
Saturn and Pluto are "the big boys," Saturn in retrograde being doubly karmic and restrictive as it is the planet of karma, limits, and restrictions, and Pluto, ruler of the underworld, in retrograde being about reclaiming power and elimination - destroying that which would destroy us. Saturn direct and Pluto back into Aquarius in November are going to feel like a real weight has been lifted. Saturn is about making things real, and Pisces is the sign of dreams and ideals. It has been in review mode since June 29th, so if it feels like things slowed down then and you were delayed with plans and projects, expect things to move forward in November with Saturn direct. The other two shifts to take note of are Jupiter and Mars retrograde. Jupiter is already retrograde in Gemini as of October 9th - it will station direct February 4th. Mars is in the pre shadow of its retrograde now - in the pre shadow in Cancer 10/4 to 11/13 and in the pre shadow in Leo 11/3 to 12/6. It will retrograde back over those degrees 12/6 to 2/23. Note that Uranus stations direct end of January, Jupiter stations direct 2/4, Mars stations direct 2/23, and Saturn leaves its post retrograde shadow mid-February on the 19th. Whatever you are working on over the coming months in your inner realms, you are wrapping it up in February, and ready to move into the first change portal of 2025 - the eclipses - in March. The first eclipse of 2025 is the full moon eclipse in Virgo on 3/14, and it is followed by the new moon eclipse in Aries - our final eclipse on the Aries/Libra axis until 2033 that wraps up the set of eclipses on the relationship axis of the zodiac that began in mid-July 2023. With Mars retrograde between now and the spring eclipses, one of the main things you are doing is integrating everything you've learned since mid-July 2023 about rebalancing the "me" and "we" in your life with the goal of a stronger sense of self, and doing the inner work required to step into this new identity in late March. It's the culmination of what you've been working on around your relationship to self and the world - specifically around releasing old unhealthy relationship patterns where you devalue yourself and give yourself up. At the same time, with Pluto retrograde May 2nd to October 11th, spending from September 1st until it returns to Aquarius 11/19 at the karmic final degree of Capricorn, you've been doing the final wrap up on whatever transpired in your life with the Pluto in Capricorn era that began in 2008. Yes, collectively this had to do with the global financial crisis and the rottenness we've seen exposed in the realms of big systems since then. Pluto in transit shows us what is rotten that needs to be composted to create the new. It's a transference of energy - the cycle of destruction and creation. It's a very natural cycle. Everything has a life span, even things like governmental and financial systems, and the infrastructure of countries. Pluto is about power, and Capricorn is associated with patriarchal themes, so we've seen a lot of the underbelly of that exposed too. On a personal level, this final review of what's been transforming in your life since 2008 has to do with the theme of whatever house or area of life Capricorn rules in your chart. For example, if you are Capricorn rising, that would be the first house of self and identity. If you are Sagittarius rising, it would be the second house of values, self-value and personal resources. If you are Cancer rising, it would be about intimate one-on-one relationships, especially ones that come with contracts, like marriage and business partners. This is big because once Pluto clicks over into Aquarius in mid-November, it won't return for over two centuries, and it will be in Aquarius - and thus slowly transforming that area of your life - until 2044. Jupiter retrograde, at the heart of the matter, is a review of our beliefs, truth, and philosophy. Gemini is the Mercury-ruled sign of the mind, thoughts, and communication. Jupiter also rules faith, expansion, growth, and abundance. So Jupiter retrograde 10/9 to 2/4 is your time to consider where exactly you are wanting to go in life - specifically what you want to expand into - and then take an inventory of your beliefs and what kind of new foundation of belief you need to set up during Jupiter retrograde to allow yourself to expand into more in 2025.
