The final eclipse portal of 2024 opens this evening - Tuesday, September 17th, with a full moon eclipse at 25° Pisces. This full moon eclipse of change is sitting with Neptune in Pisces, so this is an excellent lunation to lean into the magic of the hidden realms and honoring the sacred in the mundane with the sun in Virgo illuminating the Pisces moon with Neptune. This full moon eclipse is also in supportive aspect to both Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus - we talked about the deeper meaning of this in the Virgo new moon email on September 2nd. In short, we're in the middle of shifting eras, and from September 1st to November 19th, we are wrapping up what began all the way back in 2008 when Pluto first entered Capricorn. Big change is on the horizon, both personally and collectively, and this shift is on now but going all the way through spring 2026 as Neptune and Uranus follow Pluto's lead and change signs. Saturn is still retrograde in Pisces right now too, demanding effort, patience, and discipline in the same area of our lives as this full moon eclipse, calling us to step into our inner authority, keep showing up to do the work, and make sure we are focused on appropriate foundation, structure, and boundaries. With the sun in earthy, practical Virgo illuminating the moon in spiritual, inspirational, and otherworldly Pisces sitting with Neptune, Saturn, ruler of the 3D realm, retrograde in Pisces, and the three outer planets in sextile to each other with the sun in Virgo forming the tail of the kite formation, this lunation is really amplifying the theme of our bodies and lives being a vehicle for higher consciousness to come through into the 3D plane. We're boots on the ground. It's through us that the entire world becomes a better place - heaven on earth - as we evolve in consciousness together. The north node and south node are still in Aries and Libra, respectively, until January, but we have this little Pisces eclipse slipping in early before the nodes change signs. Then in March, we'll get our final eclipse on the Aries/Libra axis, a new moon eclipse at 0° Aries to follow up the coming October 2nd new moon eclipse in Libra, cementing our "new" that we've been working on since July 2023 when the north node moved into Aries and signifying it's time to finally move forward. Those two eclipses, the Libra south node new moon eclipse on October 2nd, and the Aries north node new moon eclipse in March, are our portals into a new chapter of life after doing the work of rebalancing the "me" and "we" in our lives with the nodes on the Aries/Libra axis since July 2023. The nodes move backwards through the signs, so from January 2025 until mid-2026, the north node is going to be in Pisces and the south node in Virgo. The theme for the north node in Virgo is acknowledging and honoring the sacredness in the mundane, and that we are all connected, and everything is unfolding according to divine plan. Everything aligns, it's all connected, and it's all energy. There is so much more to this world and this life than meets the eye. When the north node is in Pisces, we want to move towards breaking down the barriers between us, towards empathy, compassion, and forgiveness. We also need to cultivate trust that everything's working out. We have to let go of control and bring the focus back to what we can control - our thoughts, emotions, and reactions. We need to stop needing others to conform to our ideals so we can feel okay and secure and start creating that security within, because that's when the magic happens. As within, so without. So on Tuesday the 17th, while the nodes are still finishing their transit of the Aries/Libra axis of relationships, helping us become aware of how we give ourselves up in relationships because of insecurity and fear of abandonment, and moving us towards a healthier sense of self, authenticity, and self-assertion, we have this full moon in Pisces opening the eclipse portal that will close with the new moon eclipse in Libra. Any full moon illuminates what we normally wouldn't see, and an eclipse only amplifies things. Eclipses create big and lasting change in our lives, closing some chapters of our lives and opening others. Full moon eclipses in particular are about breaking away from the past and letting go. Leading into this full moon eclipse over the 15th and 16th we had Mars in Cancer in T-square to the nodes in Aries/Libra. Mars rules Aries, so currently also rules the north node of soul growth, and Mars and Aries represent the self and self-assertion. Mars is the warrior and the sword. As it splits the nodal axis, Mars is cutting us free from those old unhealthy patterns of relationships and our past. At this full moon eclipse, we might suddenly see how we've been idealizing or deluding ourselves, looking at things with rose-colored glasses. This is only heightened by the full moon sitting with Neptune retrograde. Mercury opposing Saturn retrograde brings pessimism and maybe feeling criticized. Venus opposition Chiron is about navigating the core wound of self - the one that has us questioning our right to exist and fearing rejection and abandonment - in order to get the true connection we desire in relationship with others. After this full moon illumination that opens the two week long eclipse portal, you're going to have time to integrate what's come to light and then release what no longer serves before the October 2nd new moon in Libra. This is a new beginning in relationships, and in relationship to your past. Ask yourself, if you could have anything, if you were truly valuable and lovable, how would you like your relationships to look? Allow yourself to transcend all of the limiting beliefs and doubts and experiences of your past and see what comes through. This is the golden energetic thread you are going to stay connected to as you move through the eclipse portal to reach your highest outcome with the October 2nd new moon eclipse in Libra. What's really important is that you are willing to see the truth, and you are willing to truly leave the past in the past, see beyond denial or veils of illusion, and let go of what's no longer serving.
