 This year's Cancer season is a very special one. First of all, the Cancer new moon at 14° is not just sitting with Venus, it's conjunct fixed star Sirius, the dog star, the brightest star, revered by ancient cultures and known for it's Venusian qualities. This new moon is a portal for a soul-level upgrade. Cancer is the sign of emotions and past. This new moon is a portal to higher vibrational frequencies. If old emotions are coming up, this is your cue to go ahead and cry and let it cleanse your emotional body. Allow the release. It can feel like a storm inside when higher vibrational energies meet the low ones - the result is a cleansing rain. Visualize high frequency light flooding your system at this new moon and allow the clearing to happen to bring you into soul alignment and into a higher level of being. Yes, this has everything to do with relationships. Not only do Cancer and Capricorn have a very special relationship to Aries and Libra, where the north node of soul growth, destiny, and increase and the south node of past, karma, and release are transiting in 2024, respectively, this Cancer season is bookended by two Capricorn full moons in a row. Our annual new beginning through the energetic prism of Cancer, the moon's sign of mother, home, family, past, belonging, emotions, and emotional security, arrives at 14° Cancer, in the middle of the sign, today, Friday, July 5th. Cancer's lessons center around our sense of home and emotional security. The crab in its shell, moving with the waves in the ocean of emotion, teach us that our true home is within, and we are at home anywhere in the world. Our security is not found without or dictated with others, our true security is the security we cultivate within. This is yet another step on the path of our journey in 2024, with the north node in Aries as our true north on our compass. We are moving towards a healthier sense of self and self-assertion, stepping into our individuality and authenticity. As we move towards this, we are rebalancing the relationship between "me"and "we" in our lives. Our soul growth this year lies in being brave and choosing ourself in situations where in the past we would put others or relationships first and abandon ourselves. This is not selfish - it's bringing balance back to our lives. In mid- to late March, you likely experienced any unhealthy patterns and dynamics in your relationships coming to the surface and "in your face." As we arrived at the full moon eclipse in Libra on March 25th, these were likely front and center in your life. Then, over April, the universe was supporting us in doing any necessary healing work to wounds of self that would have us playing small and doubting our right to exist. Now, during Cancer season, beginning with the first Capricorn full moon back on June 21st, we've been feeling into the root of the issue - the one that originated in childhood with caregivers. The experience where we decided that if we want to be acceptable and be loved and get our needs met, we better fit into some box and meet expectations. The one where we learned that we had to give ourselves up to be loved. With this Cancer new moon, it's time to wipe that slate clean. That was an experience you walked through, but it's not your truth today, it's not who you are, and letting that belief pattern run in your subconscious is not serving you. It's keeping you from the love and relationships, from the authentic connection that your heart deeply desires. This new moon is your time to create a new beginning in relationship to your past and old emotional patterns. It's time to set yourself free from the prison of old emotional patterns and triggers, and begin a new chapter, with you solidly seated upon the throne of your heart, ruling your inner realm.
