What Does the Scorpio Full Moon Eclipse Mean for You?

5/7/2022

PictureTime to face the shadows!

Next weekend on Sunday, May 15th, the first eclipse portal of 2022, and the first one in a series on the Taurus/Scorpio axis, closes.

Keep reading to find out all about this eclipse and how it relates to the 4/30 new moon eclipse, where it's landing in your life, and how you can access its magic.

Find out what area of life this powerful full moon eclipse is landing in for you.

Scroll down to check out my guide below.
We opened the portal on April 30th with a light-bringing new moon eclipse sitting with Uranus in Taurus, with ruler Venus in Pisces in happy aspect to the north node, point of destiny.   The first week of the eclipse portal which followed was marked by aspects between sun, Mars, and Uranus, which brought fast-moving energy and not just insight to our desired direction but the motivation and courage (and maybe restlessness and impulsiveness) to go after it
This week's waxing gibbous moon keeps the urge to move towards fruition of our goals strong, and Jupiter joining Venus in Aries both lights and fire and brings opportunities in that area of our lives, but on Tuesday, Mercury stations retrograde, meaning we are going to be reworking, reviewing, and refining those new ideas and ways of thinking and expression that have come in in recent weeks.

This doesn't mean the insight we have recently opened to is wrong - it means we are going to dive a little deeper and take our time with it rather than running off half-cocked.  It means that what is forming in us now is important, and deserves more attention so we can bring it through into reality in its very best version.

This perspective is a good one to hang onto as we move through Sunday's full moon eclipse.  This upcoming full moon eclipse at 25 degrees Scorpio is a south node eclipse, meaning it is about the past and whatever is decreasing thus releasing.  It's a full moon in Scorpio, which always brings intensity.  Being an eclipse we can count that double.  Scorpio's modern ruler is Pluto, freshly retrograde in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, and its traditional ruler is Mars, which will be working behind the scenes sitting with Neptune in Pisces.  Both of Scorpio's rulers will be in aspect to this full moon eclipse, along with Saturn taking center stage in fixed sign square to this big event from Aquarius.

Saturn in square to this full moon eclipse means it might come with some sort of "no" in our lives that stings.  Saturn is about authority, rules, responsibility, maturity, and discipline.  Saturn in square ultimately is asking us to grow to make whatever it is in question stronger and more stable, but when it comes up, it feels harsh, restrictive, and oppressive and can have us feeling isolated, lonely, depressed, hopeless, negative, and pessimistic.  If we consider sun as ego and moon as emotions, we can see how a square from Saturn to both at the same time might feel unpleasant.  It's a strong event, and being on an eclipse, with lasting influence, but it IS passing, and it IS giving us what we need to grow and evolve into the next steps and next stage of the journey we are on.

Keep in mind that this will feel very personal to you if you have anything from around 23 to 28 degrees any of the fixed signs.  Otherwise it is a more general influence, or at least not so limiting and harsh-feeling.

Another thing to keep in mind is that both the "blessing-bringers," Venus and Jupiter, are now in Aries, so look to the house Aries rules in your chart to find what area of life the blessings are coming through over the next weeks.
The key with this full moon is to realize it is bringing growth and showing us what needs to be released to move forward.  The new moon eclipse on April 30th in Taurus was a north node eclipse.  It put us in touch with our desires and what we are yearning for in our lives especially in the way of how we enjoy life the everyday pleasures in life and feel resourced and stable.  It also was surrounded by a series of aspects that were "light-bringers," bringing the sorts of consciousness upgrades that take a bit to integrate.  Mercury stationing retrograde, Pluto already retrograde, and then Saturn in square to this full moon are checking us, saying "not so fast," you're not quite ready yet.  If we can show up for this Scorpio full moon eclipse square Saturn willing to acknowledge our shadows and take responsibility, we are going to have a much easier time moving through it.

Mercury Retrograde 5/10 to 6/3, 2022

PictureClick on image to read about the beginning of my Great Descent.
Get ready for Mercurial Magic!  Mercury stations retrograde at 4 degrees Gemini, Tuesday, May 10th, beginning our second of three Mercury retrogrades in 2022 moving from an air sign back into an earth sign. It stations direct at 26 degrees Taurus on June 3rd.  That means the overarching theme of our Mercury retrogrades this year is taking ideas and making them real - "earthing" them.

The messenger, magician, and trickster is trickiest when stationing, so watch out Monday & Tuesday for miscommunications, missed communications, tech and travel mishaps, and even vehicle/appliance issues.  Think twice before speaking or pressing send, and make sure you're sending the right message to the right contact!

Try working with lavender during Mercury retrograde- it's associated with Mercury and brilliant for all sorts of applications from calming nerves and helping sleep to protection from the spirit realms all the way down to having antimicrobial and antibacterial properties!  Bath in it, burn it, diffuse it, wear it, put it in a magical sachet under your pillow ~ get creative!
Mercury rules the mind, thoughts, and communication. During RX, it doesn't actually go backwards, it makes a loop. Think about it like we are going back to get information or some message we missed or overlooked on the first pass through - there's a review as Mercury backtracks over the recent degrees of the zodiac it just covered, but it's always moving forward rather than technically backward.
We kick this retrograde off with Mercury stationing in square to the moon, so emotions influencing thoughts as we move towards a Scorpio full moon eclipse will feel extra intense.

When Mercury stations direct 6/3, it will do so in happy aspect to the moon, bringing intuitive thinking, but in square to Saturn, bringing possible restrictions to our ideas and plans to move forward, maybe bringing misunderstandings or limits to "being heard."  This is a growth aspect with Saturn the teacher showing us what we need to move forward in a more solid and well thought out fashion.
Major Points of Mercury RX 5/10 - 6/3

5/21: What project or special focus wants to start now for the 2 months?
5/19:  Optimism.  Where can you expand now? What opportunities are incoming?
5/23:  Tap into the passion & drive to make it happen!
5/25: Step into your power; uncover issues, find solutions; Eliminate & regenerate!

Special Note for 5/22 to 5/27

Mercury will be moving backwards over the final degree of Taurus from 5/22 to 5/25 - Mercury is mind, thinking, communication, but also everyday money. Taurus is the Venus-ruled earth sign of self-worth & resources (finances).

The 25th - 27th, we have Venus, ruler of Taurus, in square to Pluto RX.

Watch out for issues around misunderstandings in love & money, and/or bad news or some sort of crisis in these that even affects self-worth.

Astrology & Energy for Monday 5/9 through Sunday 5/15, 2022

This week we are in the waxing gibbous moon, building to Sunday's powerful south node full moon eclipse in Scorpio, pulling in Saturn, Neptune, Mars, and ruler Pluto.

That means intensity is building all week.

With it being an eclipse portal week, moving to culmination, it's more important than ever to stay focused on what you are for.  By that I mean connecting to the energetic vibration of that beautiful "Future You" that has achieved the desires you are working on now, finding that vibe in the now, and literally generating it, in the face of whatever "what is" comes up.

Be the master of your destiny now.

The multiverse is listening and the language it speaks is energy.

Your fear, your joy, your emotions - they create your vibration.  And you will get exactly whatever vibe you hold most strongly and consistently.

Change is in the air.  Step into your creative power, authority, and leadership by choosing your vibration.  Show this full moon eclipse who's boss!

Those of you who were in the 21 day manifesting challenge we just finished know exactly what I'm talking about and how to access, generate, and hold this energy of creating your desires now.  (And for those of you who want to learn how to do this, I am not sure exactly when we'll do the manifesting challenge again, but I do have three open spots at the moment for "Rule Your Realm,."
What we can happen in your life once you understand how to work with your creative energy and stand in your power in those six sessions is an absolute game-changer!  Check it out here.)
This week overall won't feel as fast-paced and electric as last week because we are out of the sun-Mars-Uranus aspects AND Mercury is stationing retrograde, but it may feel equally intense in other ways as we move to the big climax of the coming full moon eclipse.

The April 16th full moon in Libra was square Pluto, and this one is taking the Pluto/Scorpio themes and running with them.

Every full moon I do a 5 card tarot reading for successfully navigating from full moon to full moon. (I choose the full moon because it's the point of most light on the subconscious and visibility.) The first card in that reading from 4/16 to 5/15 was Death, telling us that our main objective for the month was to face those things that keep us trapped - habits, limiting beliefs, addictions. The reading also warned that although we were going to have some wins, we weren't quite through the challenges yet, so to stay vigilant and not take that victory lap just yet.  Check out the one minute tarot video for the month ending 5/15 here.

With next weekend's big Scorpio full moon on deck being challenged by Saturn and with Pluto and Mars in play, we can bet we are going to be facing those shadows - and it's a chance for truly releasing what no longer serves and regenerating ourselves anew if we are willing to go there.

Waxing gibbous moons (from the last quarter moon to the full moon) are always times of being driven to reach our goals and push to fruition. Expect that to be even stronger since this is a Pluto-fueled full moon eclipse that we are moving toward.

Monday and Saturday both feature void moons for the majority of each day - if you can schedule down time, these are excellent days for it. These are great for catching up on to-do's, self-care, and rest. Making time to catch up for yourself scores the biggest these days.

Early Tuesday morning, Mercury stations retrograde until 6/3 - heads up Monday and Tuesday around schedules, communications, technology, travel/commutes, and appliances - things get glitchy when the trickster and messenger is stationing. (If you've got anything at 4 degrees Gemini or in the mutable signs, I'm especially talking to you!)

Then, same day in the evening (always MDT), Tuesday 5/10, Jupiter enters Aries, bringing a big vibe shift from water to fire, from the last sign of the zodiac to the first.

Jupiter joining Venus in Mars-ruled Aries will (that means gifts and blessings, respectively) will have us feeling extra fired up now. What house does Aries rule for you? That's where this dynamic duo is coming through in your life. *Note that Jupiter is already in its retrograde shadow - it will turn retrograde end of July at 8 degrees until Thanksgiving.

Tuesday and Wednesday, the waxing moon transits Virgo, and Thursday/Friday, it's in Libra, meaning what feels good will be organization, routine, health, cleanliness, and being of service, and cooperation, partnership, harmony, and beauty, respectively.

From today's Pluto-infused full moon to the coming full moon eclipse in Pluto-ruled Scorpio on 5/15, this month the payoff lies in facing down that not-so-pleasant underworld stuff.

(Not keen?  Just go grab your favorite Scorp, they will most likely be more than happy to journey with you through those darker realms.)
Here's everything you NEED TO KNOW to get from the 4/16 Pluto-inspired Libra full moon & the 5/15 Scorpio full moon eclipse.

Watch that Devil reversed presiding over the spread. It's time to confront fears, attachments, limiting beliefs, stupid habits, and anything else that keeps you trapped.

3 of Cups reversed in the final position agrees. Partying is out of style for now, and the group may actually restrict you.

Yes, success, but not so fast - stay humble you aren't done yet.
Hidden factors show internal conflict and people not minding their own business. You don't have to prove yourself or please them. Follow your heart and do what's right for you.

Allies come in the form of inner resources. It will be a success. Just get through this last bit. Dig deep and power through. You're golden.

Successfully Navigating from the 3/18 Virgo Full Moon to the 4/16 Libra Full Moon.

3/24/2022

We are now officially in the lead up to the big Jupiter-Neptune conjunction coming 4/12 - a once-in-a-lifetime inspirational astrological hook up that begins a brand new cycle.  We are also in the preshadow of both Saturn and Neptune retrograde.  What else?  We are already feeling the upcoming eclipses that will be happening in Taurus/Scorpio 4/30 - 5/15.

That's a lot of astrological action!

In the 5 card "success" spread below, I outline what's going on beneath the surface energetically now from the 3/18 Virgo full moon until the 4/16 Libra full moon, and what to do to successfully navigate the month ahead.

Picture

The Success Spread

This is the short and sweet spread I used for this reading, asking specifically what was needed for success for the coming month, from full moon to full moon.  (The deck is Shadowscapes.)

Card 1:  The major concern or obstacle.
Card 2:  Current challenges & complications.
Card 3:  Hidden factors affecting the situation.
Card 4:  Aid and assistance.
Card 5:  What to do (or not do) to be successful.

What the Cards Are Saying About the Coming Month:

Overview:   As we move through the 3/18 Virgo full moon and begin this month, you may be feeling isolated or held back and restricted by circumstances outside of your control and trying to force things, or you may be experiencing internal resistance that has you clinging to the false security of the past and the familiar, and thus attempting to stop or control the energetic current and flow.  (Maybe all of the above?)  This month, trust the process.  Take this time to pause and align.  Make sure you are connected to your inner guidance and heart wisdom, and are moving from that place.  Treat emotions as the divine messengers they are and pay attention to what information they are bringing to you.  This is our time to prepare for the 4/12 Jupiter-Neptune conjunction and the first eclipse portal of the year coming up from 4/30 to 5/15.  With the March 4th Mars-Venus-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, Venus and Mars in conjunction for an entire month, and then Venus squaring Uranus 3/18 to 3/20 and Mars following suit 3/21 to 3/23, we are in the process of birthing something new and built-to-last in our lives (it sparked in mid-December).  But with it comes big change and growth, and right now we may feel a bit "in between worlds" with it all, and this feeling is likely to continue right up through May's eclipse portal.  This months cards give us insight into what is going on underneath the surface energetically and show us how to successfully navigate from now until the 4/16 Libra full moon.

Card 1:   8 of Wands, Reversed
On the heels of the March 18th Virgo full moon, we had Venus, then Mars in Aquarius squaring up to Uranus in Taurus.  The two lovers are coming off of their 3/4 conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn and a full month of traveling together mid-February to mid-March.  As they each square up to change-bringer Uranus now (Venus 3/18 - 3/20 and Mars 3/21 - 3/23), we are asked to grow with the change.  This can feel unpredictable and uncomfortable - uncertain even - and therefore have us off-balance and possibly in resistance, even if the changes we find thrust upon us now are desired and exciting.  This is our cue to pause and check our alignment - we want to be poised to catch and ride the next wave carrying us forward.  We also want to be sure we aren't shrinking back from the new and this big forward surge, attempting to cling to the the familiarity of the past.
Picture
8 of Wands, Reversed
Picture
IV The Hermit, Reversed
Card 2:  IV The Hermit, Reversed
Card 2 represents current challenges and obstacles, and the Hermit reversed here suggests that we may need to overcome feelings of isolation, loneliness, and disconnection now.  If you've been doing a lot of inner work in solitude and have gotten reclusive, (whether by choice or not) this is your cue that it is time to reconnect with the world around you.  Start by ensuring you are connected to yourself.  With this card showing up as a challenge or obstacle, we may want to reconnect and not be quite sure how to do so.  The first step is to maintain a strong connection with yourself, higher guidance, and intuition, living through your heart.  Like attracts like - when we connect with ourselves we will cultivate connection of all kinds in our lives.
Card 3:  Knight of Cups, Reversed
Card 3 shows us hidden factors.  The Knight of Cups reversed is the emotional messenger gone topsy-turvy.  Are your moods and emotional reactions all over the place?  Are you or those around you possibly struggling with emotional upsets or even jealousy?  Are you disconnected from reality, living in fantasy or escapism, or are you feeling that you aren't allowed to dream, or are experiencing disappointment with how far away realizing your dreams feels?  This card could also speak to a creative project that is forming but that we aren't quite ready to move forward with just yet.  Card 3 is hidden factors, so this is all going on beneath the surface right now.  The remedy is earth energy.  Ground and center, and follow the wisdom of the Hermit reversed and connect to your inner guidance and start letting your heart wisdom guide you.
Picture
Knight of Cups, Reversed
Picture
King of Cups, Reversed
Card 4:  King of Cups, Reversed
Card 4 is the card of allies - supportive people, situations, and ideas.  The King of Cups is mastery of emotions, and showing up reversed in the support position for this spread, it speaks to finding blessings in becoming a master of your emotions this month.  Don't be afraid to dive down beneath the feelings coming up and see what the root of the upset is.  Get curious about what is really going on in your subconscious, beneath the surface emotions - not in a digging, judgmental way, but in a kind and compassionate way.  Be your own safe place and make space to allow understanding.  Emotions are just feelings in motion - messages from your subconscious - and these messages are your allies now.  What messages are you receiving?
Card 5:  Knight of Wands, Reversed
Card 5 tells us what to do for success this month until the 4/16 Libra full moon.  The Knight of the Wands is the messenger of fire - the element of inspiration and creativity.  When reversed, we are experiencing some sort of delay in creative expression, be it because of "internal" reasons such as not being ready to present it to the world yet, or "external" ones like running into obstacles and delays along our path of creation and manifestation.  Knights never like being held back, but everything happens for a reason.  Patience now.  Remember the first card - 8 of Wands, reversed - that told us that we needed to pause and make sure we were aligned and moving in the right direction.  Everything will unfold in divine right timing.  It is not our job to push and force, but to ALIGN!
Picture
Knight of Wands, Reversed

This month, trust the process.  Take this time to pause and align.  Make sure you are connected to your inner guidance and heart wisdom, and are moving from that place.  Treat emotions as the divine messengers they are and pay attention to what information they are bringing to you.

This is the pathway to success this month, from the 3/18 Virgo full moon until the 4/16 Libra full moon.

Keep in mind that on the 4/30 new moon at 10 degrees Taurus, we kick off our first eclipse portal of 2022, and big changes will be in the air!  We are already in our lead up to that, and the 4/12 Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces - a once in a lifetime inspirational astrological hook up beginning a brand new cycle.

Eating for Enlightenment and Cleanliness is Next to Godliness:                      Axioms from the Virgo-Pisces Axis

3/5/2022

I actually wrote this article six months ago, in mid-September 2021, at the Virgo new moon.  Now, with the Virgo full moon on March 18th, we will be reaching the culmination of the six month cycle that began back then.

And it's a perfect time to revisit this, especially with this past weekend's (3/4 - 3/6) Mars-Venus-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn - a rebirth - with Pluto involved it requires that we first do the stripping, the dying to the old consciousness, the stepping into the fire, before we get to the actual rebirth - the magical part where phoenix gets to rise again from its own ashes.

So, what has come to pass over these past six months?  The Virgo-Pisces axis of the zodiac (as I detail below) is the healing axis - the axis that deals with healing on the physical plane (Virgo) and how it connects to healing on the spiritual plane (Pisces).

When this axis is activated (in the late winter/early spring during Pisces season and in the late summer/early fall during Virgo season), it's a perfect time to dive into the metaphysical causes of our physical ailments and dis-ease and clean things up on both ends.

Here's my personal example.
During Virgo season 2020, I finally discovered it was toxic mold in my studio that had been making me very ill for months and began addressing it.  (It was during lockdown, and I was working from home, so this realization came about when I went camping for two nights and actually got out of the place for two nights and immediately felt better - that's when I knew it was an issue with my environment, not me.)

Then, six months later in the following Pisces season, 2021, that I finally received the test results back that I sent in to tell me what kind of toxic mold I was dealing with - another piece of the puzzle.  I also received my two COVID vaccines during that time, and made the link between the vaccines and having candida flare-ups.

Six months later in Virgo season, I had moved out of that place into a new one, and felt better for a while, but then started having the symptoms again over summer, and found black mold in the shower to which I was reacting, so I set about eradicating that (continuing to do my health protocol for clearing my system of the mycotoxins from the mold).

This year, since the Pisces new moon on 3/2 and the Mars-Venus-Pluto triple conjunction exact 3/4, I followed the urge to dive into research on the metaphysical/emotional underlying reasons associated with candida, and arrived at a huge "aha moment" connecting my past traumas, limiting beliefs, unprocessed emotional wounds, my previous relationship with a narcissist, and...candida.

It was like everything suddenly got woven together and I could see the entire thing clearly.

Which is perfect for the recent Mars-Venus-Pluto triple conjunction in Capricorn, because it's about releasing the past and letting go, dying to the old consciousness, in order to be reborn to a new consciousness and new life experience.

Now looking through that lens, what is coming to realization, illumination, or culmination this Pisces season (especially looking to the coming March 18th Virgo full moon), that began six months ago in September with the Virgo new moon?  Or even a year ago with the 2020 Virgo new moon?
Keep reading to learn more about the Virgo-Pisces healing axis.

Every man is a divinity in disguise, a god playing the fool.  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Virgo and Pisces sit directly opposite each other in the sky, creating one of six axes of the zodiac.

Along with the twelve constellations that make up the wheel of the zodiac, astrology uses twelve houses, or temples of life, which denote twelve different areas of human life.  The first house is the self and identity, the second house is resources and how the self is supported in the world, and so on.  The sign that occupies the first house is always the rising sign or the sign that is on the eastern horizon at the moment of birth.  The rising sign determines which sign of the zodiac, or energy, will occupy which temple of life for the individual, as the rising sign will change, but the placement and order of houses is always the same.

Yet in astrology, we work with associations.  Each sign of the zodiac has its specific energetic characteristics, as well as an associated element and modality.  Each sign also has a planetary ruler it is associated with as well as rulership over a house or area of life.

What in the World?  The Astrology of Current Events....

A note on the astrology of current events....

I've been telling you to harness the power of the Venus Pluto conjunction plus Mars in Capricorn, as it is the beginning of a new cycle, as well as the coming Jupiter-Neptune conjunction April 12th in Pisces, which begins a new 16 year cycle and brings inspiration together with beliefs and optimism.

And it is true that we have the opportunity to tap into these aspects of this energy now through April - there is the seed of a solid new beginning with strong roots in the triple conjunction in Capricorn and the opportunity to tap into a higher vibe with Jupiter-Neptune and ground it into reality.

But collectively, we have larger cycles of transformation at play.
Picture
This current issue with Russia and Ukraine actually started last week while Mercury in Aquarius was square Uranus. This is the same exact aspect - the square from Aquarius to Uranus, the change-bringer, in Taurus, that was the main energy of all of 2021, with the three squares from Saturn in Aquarius to Uranus in Taurus (2/17, 6/14, and 2/25), and we are not done with that - we have a fourth square between Saturn and Uranus on for an entire month in September/October. And the 2nd half of 2022 is going to be bumpy for more reasons than that.

Right now, we have Pluto nearing the end of Capricorn. It entered in 2008 - that was marked by a recession. Pluto brings transformation through death and rebirth - it shakes foundations, exposes, and strips before it brings the new. This year, America is coming up on its Pluto return. Then over 2024/2025, Pluto will be making its transition to Aquarius, where it will be doing its thing for the coming 16 year transit.

Uranus is the change-bringer, and it does so through disruption, sudden upheaval, and out-of-the-blue insight - it causes breakdowns before it brings the breakthroughs. In Taurus it is bringing change to all things related to earth, environment, food sources, and how we feel secure and comfortable. Taurus is a sign of security and pleasure - Venus-ruled earth - so Uranus here is asking us (forcing us) to innovate our relationship to the material world and how we derive our sense of security in day to day life. Uranus will leave Taurus for Gemini to spend the next 7 years there in 2025.

Neptune is transiting its own sign of Pisces from 2011 to 2026. Neptune in transit wants to restore balance, but as with the other two, before that can happen, it brings collapse - Neptune dissolves. In Pisces it has to do with the natural world and wildlife/life, and especially waterways and oceans. It rules the immune system. Neptune in Pisces also has to do with oil. But its overarching message is about the connectedness of everything in this world, that we are all one.

Now consider that on top of ongoing squares from Aquarius (the air sign of the collective, humanitarianism, the future, innovation, technology, and circulation) to Uranus in Taurus, at the moment we have Mars approaching Pluto near the final degrees of Capricorn, the sign of governmental and financial systems.

Mars and Pluto are volatile. This is the warrior and the lord of the underworld coming together. Power plays are not a surprise. The saving grace here might just be Venus in the mix, who already has a relationship going with Pluto from her first two conjunctions in December. The one coming on Friday 3/4 (with Mars traveling with Venus) is the third and final one, bringing resolution. The thing here is that Venus is the one in the middle. Venus made the first two conjunctions with Pluto in December before Mars got in the mix. Now Mars is traveling with Venus through Capricorn and then on past Pluto into Aquarius (mid-February through mid-March) - we can think of Mars being Venus' guest here that doesn't get along with Pluto.

At the same time, Jupiter is approaching Neptune for a 4/12 conjunction that begins a new 16 year cycle in Pisces. The upcoming 3/2 Pisces new moon with Jupiter is a prelude. Jupiter is a gift-bringer, a planet of protection and luck, but it is also a planet of growth and expansion, and it "blows up" whatever it gets close to. Jupiter wants more. This transit can very well be escalating the situation, and oil/natural resources could be a main motivator (Neptune in Pisces), as well as power (Pluto).

Mars Pluto always has the potential to get ugly. Jupiter always has the potential to make everything bigger.

However, next week's 3/2 Pisces new moon sitting with Jupiter (also a benefic and protector) and then Venus (the other benefic) in the middle of the Mars-Pluto issue on Friday 3/4 may be bringing blessings.

As always, the most important thing we can do for ourselves and the collective at any time is to stay aligned with a bright future that serves the highest good of all.

We cannot do that if we are letting what shows up in front of us on the news dictate our vibe - choose your vibe according to what you wish to create - don't let it be dictated by whatever might happen around you.

Be the leader energetically.

Use the astrology now through April to align with your core values and desires, chart a path forward, and set a firm foundation of personal truths and beliefs (that means cleaning up limiting beliefs, thought and feeling habits, and behaviors and raising vibration to align with where you are going) because you will need it for the second half of this year.

As of last Saturday 2/19, when the sun entered Pisces, we are in Pisces season until it moves into Aries at equinox on 3/20.

The sun in Pisces means our conscious focus is submerged in the deep waters of this mutable water sign known for inspiration, hidden realms, spirituality, creativity, empathy, and compassion.

This is the last sign of the zodiac - the sun's final journey before beginning anew in Aries at equinox. Expect this month to feel extra dreamy, inspirational, and even romantic. This is a time for envisioning and getting inspired - not for making any solid decisions or moves (that comes later).

Plus with the sun transiting Pisces (and soon on 3/9 Mercury), we will be picking up on the vibes of Jupiter in Pisces moving towards it's 4/12 conjunction with Neptune (an idealistic new beginning that only occurs once every 16 years) - this is when we want to be tuning into the inspiration and guidance coming through.

The key?  It's going to be especially important to stay grounded and at the same time connected to higher guidance.  To take advantage of the inspiration available during Pisces season and especially with the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, we need to be heart-centered, following our intuition and inner guidance, and grounded - otherwise there is a danger of being deceived or deceiving ourselves, buying into something "too good to be true," or getting lost in fantasy and/or escapism.

Use the astrology now to set your foundation for the 2nd half of the year.
The astrology hits a big change point with the first eclipse portal, the first half of May, and then by mid-summer we are into the challenging second half of the year that is going to be reviews and the kind of pressure that forces growth due to challenging planetary aspects popping up all over during the retrogrades.

This eclipse portal is our first on the Taurus/Scorpio axis since the lunar nodes shifted signs in mid-January.  Since mid-2020, our appetite and direction of growth collectively was focused in Gemini, the sign of information and communication.  Now it is in Taurus until mid-2023.  This first eclipse portal of the year in May, just 2 weeks after the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces, is opening us up to our hunger for enjoying the pleasures of life and feeling secure, and it's no surprise after the past couple of years of setbacks, restrictions, upheaval, fear, and loss with the pandemic.

At the beginning of August, Mars will meet up with both Uranus, the change-bringer, and the north node, the point of increase, appetite, and desires, in Taurus.  This is a big turning point in the year that is going to add major fuel to this fire and lock in our course for the 2nd half of the year.  It "sparks things off," so to speak.  Mars ups the desire factor and impatience, and Uranus can bring rebellion.  These combining with the north node, point of destiny, suggests a major change in direction for the collective, and taking into account the challenging astrology of the 2nd half of the year, it's going to be a bumpy ride for a bit.

This is why it is so important to connect with the inspiration and higher guidance we can access during Pisces season and through the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in mid-April starting now (and especially with the 3/2 Pisces new moon conjunct Jupiter and the 3/4 Mars-Venus-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn).  We need to align with our ideal vision for the future now, and really focus on weeding out limiting beliefs and thought/behavior habits and start cultivating the energy (beliefs, thoughts, emotions, behavior) that supports this.  We are going to need to be locked in solidly to our unshakable personal truths about ourselves, life, and the world, when the storm hits mid-summer.  Mindset matters - vibe is everything.

Here are some notes about this Pisces Season:
  1. This particular Pisces season is marked almost throughout its entirety by Mars and Venus traveling together - they came together in Capricorn in mid-February, and on 3/4 will meet up with Pluto there before heading into Aquarius still traveling together until 3/12. This signifies a substantial new beginning in our lives (especially creative or romantic).
  2. The new moon in Pisces is 3/2 and made all the more lovely by the presence of benefic and traditional ruler of Pisces, Jupiter. But save the intention setting until 3/4 when we have Mars, Venus, and Pluto together heralding a big new beginning, with Jupiter still in alignment with sun. By 3/4, there will be light on the moon again, which will be all fired up in the first sign of the zodiac, Aries - this day is an unbelievably powerful day to formally anchor in your new moon intentions. (And don't forget that these intentions are also tied into mid-April's Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, blessing them with the gift-bringing powers of Jupiter AND giving them longevity, as this conjunction starts a new 16 year cycle.
  3. On Sat. 3/5, by end of day both Mars and Venus will be out of Capricorn (Venus went retrograde there so has been there on extended stay since November 5th) to Aquarius, which gives us a blast of fresh air. This is a huge vibe shift after so much time and action in the Saturn-ruled practical earth sign in December and January (and the big finale just a day ago with Pluto). It's time to look to the future and move forward.
  4. As the sun cruises through Pisces over this month, on 3/1 & 3/2 it will make a positive aspect to change-bringer Uranus, so we can expect the unexpected - a happy surprise? Then 3/4 - 3/6, it will be conjunct Jupiter for the new moon and the Venus-Mars-Pluto conjunction. 3/12 - 3/14, the sun will conjunct Neptune. (Pay attention on the days the sun is with Jupiter - 3/4 - 3/6 - and then Neptune - 3/12 - 3/14 - as this will give us strong clues as to the vibe of the coming Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in mid-April.
  5. Mercury (ruler of the mind and communications) joins sun in Pisces on 3/9, upping our spirituality, intuition, and connection to messages from other realms. Mercury rules Gemini, a mutable air sign, and Pisces is mutable water - don't try to pin things down right now - go with the flow and stay open to incoming info from all sources and directions. Remember to trust intuition first and foremost - with strong Pisces energy (both sun and Mercury there along with Jupiter and Neptune) we are navigating on instruments - things won't necessarily be as they may seem.
  6. On 3/17, Mercury in Pisces makes a positive aspect to change-bringer Uranus - out of the blue insight? Unexpected good news? Then on 3/18 and 3/19, sun makes a positive aspect to Pluto - this is a bit more intense - a great aspect for deep diving and getting beyond the superficial, or getting a good look at our own shadows - but it is Pluto - be aware of the possibility of power dynamics and manipulation sneaking up.
  7. The final aspect is the only challenging one we have during Pisces season - Venus in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus. With Uranus in square, the surprises that pop up in our path now may be disruptive or unsettling, and with Venus being the planet it is in square to, it will have some affect on love, money, and/or self-worth. Remember, squares impasses between the two energies at play that ask for growth to move forward.

Looking beyond Pisces Season into Aries Season....
March 20th is equinox - when the sun enters Aries.

But what Venus started with Uranus right as Pisces season ended is setting the stage for what's to come in Aries season.

Mars will follow in Venus' footsteps 3/21 - 3/23 squaring Uranus - easy does it - this one can be truly volatile. Watch out for angry outbursts. Take and give space. Healthy boundaries all the way.

Mercury meets up with Jupiter and then Neptune, and then sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, before moving into Aries on 3/27 - this will again give us info about the upcoming conjunction between the two in mid-April - this time maybe inspired ideas?

Through all of this we are moving towards a significant point along our journey - 3/28 and 3/29 - Venus conjunct Saturn. This is another conjunction, so yet another beginning of a cycle, and this time it is in Aquarius, between the Venus, planet of love, money, and self-worth, and Saturn, the mentor and Lord of Karma. But Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn, where Venus and Mars just made their big conjunction with Pluto, and it also is strong in Aquarius, the sign it traditionally rules. Aquarius is the innovative and humanitarian sign of the future and thinking outside the box, and also a big fan of freedom and spontaneity. Take note of what kind of new beginnings are becoming solidified now, how they tie into the 3/4 Venus-Mars-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, and compare notes with what came up as sun and Mercury made conjunctions with both Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces in recent weeks to get an idea of where all of this is going.

The last half of this year, and particularly September and October is marked by layers of retrogrades on top of each other and difficult aspects - right now we are being given the support, information, and guidance (if we are paying attention) to set our course and get solid on our foundation of personal truths and beliefs to weather the coming waves with grace and ease.

Committing to What's Important:  Saturn Retrograde 2022

2/19/2022

Saturn enters the pre shadow of its retrograde for this year on February 22nd.

This means it begins making its first of three passes over the degrees of the retrograde, between 18 and 25 degrees Aquarius.

This first pass is our introduction to what the coming review from early June through mid-October will be about in our lives.  The actual review will happen during the retrograde, and then the third pass is resolution, after Saturn has stationed direct, from October 22nd until January 25th, 2023.
Picture
Understanding Saturn Retrograde...
Saturn is the planet of limits, boundaries, rules, authority, systems, tradition, and karma.  When retrograde, you can count the karmic nature of this planet double.

Its retrograde is about helping us step into our own inner authority and committing to what's most important in our lives so we can show up and make things happen in the real world.

Saturn, at its heart, is about the earth magic of manifestation, of making things real in our lives.
Wherever Saturn is transiting in our chart, we will find seriousness and responsibility.

When it is retrograde this is amplified, and you will feel it in a very personal way in your life if you have any significant placements in your chart within the degrees of the retrograde - in this case between 18 and 25 degrees Aquarius - or these degrees of any of the other fixed signs (Leo, Taurus, and/or Scorpio).
Dates to Note for Saturn Retrograde....
It's helpful here to look at Saturn's retrograde in the larger context - it is only part of what's going on in the heavens during the heart of this year.

Two other key players here are Neptune and Jupiter both retrograde coming off of their mid-April conjunction in Pisces that only happens once every 16 years.

These three planets in retrograde from early June until December will be working together to help us make our ideals real moving forward in 2023, and from right now (mid-February) through mid-April is our time to prepare ourselves for this journey.

Saturn RX 2022 Aspects
Saturn RX 2022 Aspects
The key to preparing for the second half of this year is to get aligned with our core values and desires and strong in our foundation of personal truths and beliefs now.  (That means by June.)

Neptune's retrograde is marked by all hard aspects that will bring extra confusion, so it is important to be solidly seated upon the throne of our hearts and connected and following our intuition and inner guidance before those waves start crashing up upon our shores, attempting to erode our sense of center and direction.

The challenges from Saturn's retrograde will come especially over August, September, and October, which is also when the challenging part of Jupiter's retrograde (beliefs) will be as well.

Layered onto that, we will have Mercury retrograde from September 9th until October 2nd from 8 degrees Libra to 24 degrees Virgo bringing a review of our thinking and communication, and Saturn in Aquarius will be squaring up to Uranus in Taurus for a fourth and final time from September 15th until October 23rd.  (The first three were in 2021 - remember that feeling of wanting to break free but feeling restricted by things outside of your control - that's the Saturn-Uranus square, and we are getting a big, concentrated dose of that same energy this fall but under different circumstances, helping us grow to a breakthrough and find a new way forward.)

Then, in late October, Mars stations retrograde in Gemini taking us through the end of the year.

The Take Away...
We have extremely supportive astrology now through the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces in mid-April that is guiding us to start build something new in our lives that is built to last, and that April conjunction will begin a new 16 year cycle between Jupiter's expansion, optimism, and beliefs, and Neptune's idealism, inspiration, and compassion.

Use this time to dive deep within and connect with what sets your heart on fire, your most authentic self, and your core values and desires.  Ask the tough questions.  Tune into your heart, and tune out the noise and opinion's of others.  Know your worth.  Believe in yourself.  Build a vision of your most inspired life moving forward.  Root out any limiting beliefs that keep you wobbled or in doubt.  Get crystal clear on who you are and where you want to go.  Set your vibe and expectations HIGH.

Then prepare to batten down the hatches and move through some tests of faith.

If you are solidly seated upon the throne of your heart, firm in your inner truth and knowing, listening and following your intuition, and aligned with your own truth, in your inner authority, and fully committed to your path, any twists and turns that pop up over the final half of the year won't stand a chance of shaking your foundation.

When Things Are Not What They Seem:  Navigating Neptune Retrograde 2022

2/19/2022

As of Friday, February 18th, Neptune began making its first pass over the retrograde territory it will cover from June until December.

This is the first of the three phases of the retrograde, with the first pass being the "introduction," the second pass in reverse being the actual retrograde and "review," and the third pass once direct again being the "resolution."
Neptune Retrograde 2022 dates
Neptune Retrograde 2022 Dates
Here's the thing about Neptune Retrograde...
When a planet enters the preshadow of its retrograde that means it is passing over the retrograde territory for the first time - this is the time we get clues to whatever the retrograde will be about.

While an outer planet isn't as significant as a personal planet (like Mercury, Venus, or Mars), this IS significant for you if you have any placements in your natal chart between 22 and 25 degrees Pisces (or mutable signs).

About the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in mid-April....
The other thing is, the big deal in the next couple of months is the Jupiter and Neptune conjunction in Pisces on April 12th, which only happens every 16 years.

This is a powerful (and good) new beginning. But take note that Neptune will be in its retrograde pre shadow when this conjunction takes place, so we are going to be reviewing whatever comes up during its retrograde June through December.
Navigating Neptune retrograde & what you can do now to prepare....
Now through the April 12th Jupiter-Neptune conjunction is the time to get grounded and heart-centered and get firmly seated upon your foundation of personal truths and beliefs that are supportive of where you want to go.

From this place, especially through the end of the year, stay connected to your higher guidance and intuition to navigate, as things may not be what they seem, and this Neptune retrograde along with other astrological energies will be testing us and our faith - follow your inner guidance no matter what, especially through the latter half of this year.
Dates to Note:  Important Aspects Neptune Will Make During Its 2022 RX....
Neptune is known for being nebulous.  While it is a highly spiritual influence that brings compassion and forgiveness, the same powers of erosion it uses to dissolve the walls between us and remind us we are all one, all connected, can also erode our boundaries and integrity, and cause confusion, if not deception.

This is why the number one protocol for navigating Neptune retrograde is to firm up our personal beliefs, truths, and our core values, and use those as our compass as we navigate by the light of our intuition and inner guidance.
Neptune Retrograde Aspects 2022
Neptune Retrograde Aspects 2022
Things over these months from late June through early December most likely won't be as they seem.

This goes triple on the aspect dates listed above, and especially if you have any significant placements in your chart between 22 and 25 degrees Pisces or any of the mutable signs (Virgo, Gemini, and Sagittarius).
Here's the thing about these aspects:  they are all "hard aspects" made by Neptune in retrograde to the other planets in mutable signs - this signifies added confusion.

This is why it is so important to get in touch with your own core values and personal truths and beliefs now to get a solid foundation for navigating the last half of this year - it will be tested.

It's essential to find your truth now and get solidly seated upon the throne of your heart so you will be able to weather this coming Neptunian storm with grace and ease - which you will if you are strong in your own inner truth and following your inner guidance.
